Item Description

WINE- "One of the most luscious, intense, complex wines one could ever hope to taste" says Robert Parker of Morgan Clendenen's Le Bon Climat Viognier. Delicate aromas of peach, guava and honeysuckle with hints of straw and springtime orchard flowers. The mouth is soft, with butter and crème fraiche, racy, with zesty acidity on the palate, and crisp like cold green grapes, all at the same time. The scent and flavor are unparalleled. Cold Heaven's definitive style is fresh, bright and delicious, alone or with food. Hailed as the Queen of Viognier, Morgan believes that Viognier which maintains a natural acidity is the best expression of the grape. Viognier should be complex, lively and fresh. The 2006 Le Bon Climat was just released earlier this year. Previous vintages have been widely acclaimed and received high scores. According to Doug Margerum, "consensus among the wine cognoscenti is that Morgan is the single best producer of Viognier in the U.S."
