Item Description
Call it a date night! Enjoy dinner at the Waterfront Hotel and a voucher for two tickets to any Theatre Project subscription or Heptasoph series show. You will also receive a voucher for a Theatre Project t-shirt. Theatre Project -- through the presentation of a diverse array of original and experimental theatre, music, and dance -- connects the artists and audiences of Baltimore with a global community of performers. They seek to nurture those artists who are actively experimenting with new forms of expression and support both performers of international reputation and emerging local companies creating new work. The building that houses The Waterfront Hotel was built as a private residence in 1771. It is the second oldest brick building in the city of Baltimore. Converted into a hotel and tavern in 1861, it was most likely used to house troops during the Civil War. After the war, it became a welcome place of rest for weary sailors. It remained a hotel until 1955, when it was converted into a restaurant. The Waterfront earned a reputation as the place to go for great food and lively conversation. More recently, the Waterfront was used as the set for the bar scenes in the television series, "Homicide: Life on the Street." Enjoy this $50 gift card and 2 tickets to the Theatre Project with a t-shirt voucher.
