Item Description
This auction item is for a digital composite image by Cape Ann artist Thomas Philbrook. Philbrook says, "My subject matter is most often the natural world around us. I have a deep regard for its diversity. Its beauty. Its unpredictability. Its cyclicality. And most of all, its spirituality. Illustrating these qualities is what I strive for in my pictures."
Philbrook's images are composites of scanned photographs -- often combined with objects scanned directly into the computer. Although produced with digital technology, Philbrook tries to work in tandem with the natural world; producing an outcome that is compelling, gratifying, and inspirational.
This is a 17x9'' digital composite inkjet -- created with archival materials. Signed and matted with cream-colored matting in an 18x24'' brown-stain wood frame. Valued at $300. This item can be shipped via UPS (contact the RAA for a delivery estimate) or picked up at the Art Association. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping and handling costs.
