Nicole Henry's beautiful and distinctive voice continues to garner fans around the world. She has been awarded "Best Vocal Jazz Album"2005 and "Best New Jazz Artist" 2004 by HMV/Japan, sharing their annual awards with other renowned artists such as Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Jane Monheit and Joshua Redman. Her debut CD, The Nearness of You, released in 2004 in the U.S. and Japan, ranked #2 on HMV's Jazz Charts in Japan, second only to Norah Jones, and remained in the TOP 10 for over 3 months. The Album also reached #27 on the JazzWeek U.S. radio charts. Then in late 2004, Venus Records/Japan invited Nicole to lead a CD project with the Eddie Higgins Trio. Teach Me Tonight, was released in Japan and Korea in March 2005 and spent 3 weeks at #1 on the HMV Jazz Charts, 11 weeks in the Top 10.
