Power Lunch with KUIC On Air Personality and Local Information Coordinator, Lynda Rose McMahan. Lynda is a Solano Community College Alumna (That's a Female Alumnus or a single Alumni).
Lunch will be at Ahi's Seafod and Griall at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, hosted by General Manager Kevin Johnson and prepared under the supervision of local celebrity Chef James Aptakin, at a mutually convenient time to be arranged. Auction winner needs to call at least a week in advance to make the appointment.
You'll have an opportunity to ask all the questions you ever wanted about the radio business, about the local Vacaville and Solano Community, and about her experience at Solano Community College.
Lynda RoseBORN (DATE & PLACE): April 30 in the year...let's just say I'm the reason the Beatles came to America. (Okay, so they were a few months early). At a hospital in Sacramento, cuz they didn't have an obstetrics wing at the Davis hospital.
MARITAL STATUS: Single - but I'm looking for Mr. Right as I am tired of hitting the snooze alarm on my biological clock...
CHILDREN: 2 cats - Mowgli and Ming. Mowgli is the girl version of The Jungle Boy. Ming thinks she really is royalty. Oh, and we have an extra cat-a little black male job we call Midnight. He's one of Mowgli's many boyfriends, even though she is fixed.
LIKES: Smiles, cats, conservative/libertarian politics, music, surf culture, fruitcakes (the kind you eat!), Rico's Pizza (when you stop in at the Woodland restaurant, tell owner Dan that Lynda Rose says 'hi'!) and Tormenting Bovine...
DISLIKES: RACCOONS, rudeness, RACCOONS, grammatical errors, writers from "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" who steal my jokes without attribution and (did I mention?) RACCOONS!
FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM: San Francisco Giants, Kansas City Chiefs and the Sacramento Kings! (I miss you, VLADE!!!!)
