Item Description

Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 , 12 Half Bottles (375ML)

90 Pts from Robert Parker

"Red and black cherry and sweet vanilla oak and pie spice aromas are accented by a pretty background of dried floral/herb pot-pourri scents. A full mouth of fruit that is sweet, round and complex is supported by nice acidity and supple, ripe tannins.

The Wine Advocate Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Beringer’s strengths, and their regular 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon from Knight’s Valley shows a deep ruby/purple color, wonderful, straightforward licorice-infused black currant fruit with a hint of smoke and barrel. The wine has outstanding purity, depth, and ripeness in an open-knit, fruit-driven but deep style. This is an outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon that should drink well for 10-12 years.
Score: 90. —Robert Parker, December 2005. "

Knights Valley
Distinctive quality that can only be created from the rustic, unspoiled vineyards and unique alluvial soils that make up Sonoma’s Knights Valley. Located 17 miles northwest of the winery, the Knights Valley vineyard has volcanic, well-drained soils that are perfectly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sémillon.

Knights Valley Vineyard

The well-drained soils of this warm vineyard, located 17 miles north of the winery at the edge of Napa Valley, in Sonoma County, are perfectly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The fruit goes into our unique Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as Beringer Knights Valley Alluvium and Alluvium Blanc, two proprietary blends named after the alluvial soils of the vineyard that were deposited here millions of years ago by an ancient river.

winemaker's notes:
A mouth full of fruit that is sweet, round and complex which is supported by nice acidity and supple ripe tannins, this Cabernet Sauvignon highlights Knights Valley’s characteristically bright cherry fruit and sweet vanilla oak and pie spice aromas.
