Item Description
Between December 1, 2007, and January 31, 2008, choose your dates for two days and nights in a charming 3-story log cabin on 10 acres in rural Burke County (north of Morganton). Sitting on the front porch in an old rocking chair, you will have a spectacular view of Table Rock where the base camp of the North Carolina Outward Bound School is located. This charming log cabin (home of John Huie, former director of North Carolina Outward Bound) has three bedrooms, three baths, spacious living room with giant stone fireplace and electric heat pump. In addition, there is a hot tub and large deck, lots of woods for hiking, easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Furnishings are basic, and you may need to bring some of your own utensils.
