Big fun comes in small packages! Be part of the 4th Annual New London to New Brighton MINI Rallye the weekend of May 16 & 17th. This Rallye is the Minnesota version of the famed London to Brighton Mini Run that takes place in Great Britain each May.

You and 1 guest will each get to be co-pilots (or navigators) in one of two MINIs that will be participating in the event. The two cars are:

• The Gotageek JCW MINI driven by Ron Woodle - This is a 210 HP MINI Cooper S with lots of additional go-fast add-ons. Bring the Dramamine if you want to co-pilot this ride, it's like a go-cart on steroids!!
• A 2008 MINI Clubman S driven by Sophie Woodle - This is one of the very first MINI Clubmans to arrive in Minnesota. Slightly larger, a little more refined but still a full-on MINI, the Clubman S has been getting rave reviews from all of the car magazines.

Overview -
Friday, May 16th - We depart for scenic New London, MN. Hotel and food are provided. There will be a poker rally that night and a chance to meet lots of friendly MINI owners and their rides.

Saturday, May 17th - We grab some breakfast and then attend the mandatory drivers meeting. Here's where the fun begins. Read more about rallyes here.

• Rallye basics - The driver and navigator are handed a book of instructions that describe how to get to each checkpoint. The goal is to arrive at each checkpoint neither too early nor too late based on the calculated time it takes to get to each checkpoint. The challenge is interpreting the instructions properly. The Rallye Master likes to insert a lot of surprises and difficult instructions. 

The Rallye ends in New Brighton, MN, with a picnic and raffle. Then it's off to the Vali Hi Drive-In for a movie-in-a-MINI. After the movie we'll Motor (that's MINI -speak for drive) to wherever you wish to be dropped off.

NOTE: This is not the kind of Rallye you see on TV where the cars are going 100 MPH down a dirt road. This rallye is designed so all traffic rules and speed limits are intended to be obeyed. No helmet is required.

11:30 AM Mandatory Drivers Meeting
12:00 PM First car out
3:30 - 5:00 PM MINIs arrive at park in New Brighton
5:00 - 6:00 PM Dinner
7:00 PM - On head to Vali Hi for Drive-In
