Item Description
Todd Helton is a solid first baseman for the 2007 World Series contender, The Colorado Rockies. As of the end of the 2007 season, he was the highest batting average player among all active players at .332 and on June 20, 2007 Helton achieved his 1,000th career hit in Coors Field against the New York Yankees. He is the winner of three Gold Glove Awards and in 2000 was named the MLB Player of the Year by the Associated Press, Baseball News, and The Sporting News. That year he was also named the national League winner of the 2nd annual Hank Aaron Award. Helton is currently in his fifth year of a nine-year $141.5 million dollar contract with the Colorado Rockies.
