Item Description

The Pittsford Pendleton Shop, on S. Main St. in Pittsford, is proud to present the 'Grateful Nation' blanket, designed and manufactured by Pendleton Woolen Mills. In the rich symbolism of the blanket we recognize, with gratitude, the sacrifice and service of the past and present members of the armed forces who have sacrificed so much to defend our country. Centered on the blanket is a representation of the American flag, interpreted as a service ribbon. A total of 56 stars in rows symbolize each state, the territories and District of Colombia. Six authentically colored stripes represent the service ribbons awarded to veterans of conflicts in which our country has engaged: World War ll Asiatic Pacific Campaign, World War ll Europe-Africa-Middle East Campaign, Korean conflict, Vietnam Serice, Gulf War, and the War on Terrorism. This blanket size of 64'x80' is perfect for display, inspiration, and a tribute- symbol of national pride.
