Item Description
Lumiere Photo offers a framed print from the collection of George Eastman House International Museum of Photography. 'In the Fields, Plumarch'. A Breton Landscape' by Robert Demachy, circa 1910. Demachy was a Renaissance man. He loved music, cars and photography. A banker by trade, an artist of great talent by heart....Demachy loved landscape and was the most renowned French pictorialist of his day. Although he's known for his gum prints, this unusual 'oil print' is an exquisite example of the pictorialist style early photographers borrowed from painters of that era. This giclee print measures 17' x 21' and it's modern black frame is offset by its soft white mat. A perfect combination for this black and white print with a touch of grey tones.
