Item Description
George Cook offers a print, 'A Hunter in a Big Marsh,' by Thomas Aquinas Daly. In this scene, he has used shades of deep red and blue to capture dawn in a hazy light. With a sportsman's reasons to roam the landscape, Daly translates his sensitive perceptions into luminous, expressive paintings that have successfully bridged the gap between sporting and fine art. Daly's work has been displayed in numerous solo exhibitions at galleries, museums and universities throughout the country. President Gerald R. Ford recognized Daly's talent by awarding him Grand Central Art Gallery's Gold Medal at the opening of his 1987 show in New York Bid high and enjoy the quiet serenity of the marsh just before sunrise. This unframed print is signed and numbered. It measures 23 inches by 17 ? inches.
