Niza Knoll was born in Israel, and as a child attended schools in Haifa, Vienna, Paris, Montreal and New York. Knoll graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and worked for many years as an art director and graphic designer in advertising. After moving to Colorado, Knoll taught high school art education. Whether in advertising or education, Knoll consistently worked in visual arts as a painter, sculptor and photographer. Knoll's work has been shown in Israel, Austria, France, New York and Colorado. Knoll's mask is Happy Dog with Red Collar and Yellow Tag
