Item Description
Annie Brenman-West is a five-year breast cancer survivor with strong feelings about people being able to decide to control their end-of-life destiny. Her mask is a tribute to the staff and volunteers of The Denver Hospice. She uses gold leaf to represent The Denver Hospice's standard which is golden. She created it in the memory of "two amazing people in my life," Nina Kelly and Kenneth Morise who died under hospice care. Nina was a very active member of the Denver community in the arts. Kenneth was Annie's co-worker and very good friend and Nina's hairdresser.
