Item Description
Denver artist Amanda Scott combines simplicity and detail in her mask inspired by the works of Hokusai Katsushika and her own island upbringing. "Water Woman" symbolizes the connection between water and man. She graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado with a BA in interior and architectural design. She's exhibited in galleries throughout Colorado. Her muralist work was part of the Santa Fe Art District's Alley Beautification Project. Her work has won awards including 1st Place at the Colorado Springs Parade of Homes. She is an art teacher at KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy in Denver where she coordinates community projects such as the Denver Pavillions "Green for the Holidays" and a display in The Space Gallery.
