Item Description

World-renowned peace advocate Yoko Ono, born to an aristocratic Japanese banking family before World War II, is an artist, a recording artist and a poet, as well as the widow of The Beatles' John Lennon.  Her mask, "Imagine Peace" comes with a night's stay in the Beatles Suite (valued at $1,465), compliments of the Brown Palace Hotel. In 2001 a 40-year retrospective of her work, YES YOKO ONO, received the International Association of Art Critics USA Award for Best Museum Show Originating in New York City. Her best-known current project, dedicated in 2007, is the Imagine Peace Tower in Reykjavik, Iceland. Each year, between Oct. 9 and Dec. 8, it will project a vertical beam of light high into the sky. She lives in New York City.
