Item Description
Chicago native Rita Bentley's interest in art extends to her childhood when she attended classes at the Art Institute of Chicago. She went on to earn a degree from the College of DuPage in Illinois and considers herself an impressionist working in oils and pastels. She recently began creating abstracts using a variety of textures, metal and gold leaf. Her mask was inspired by both the cosmic and the mysterious which represents a kind of primal or cosmic energy. Her works can be seen at CoArt Gallery and at Studio 747 in the Santa Fe Arts District in Denver.
