Denver graphic/web designer and artist Kym Bloom is a Colorado native with a history in theatre, film, digital arts and fine art. She has a BA from BYU and a Master's from CU Denver where she taught for several years. Her work can be seen at Kanon Collective in Denver's Santa Fe Arts District. Her mask was constructed by slowly melting lollipops with a butane torch. Once her candy sculpture was complete, she coated her mask with several layers of resin. "It's a like a frozen memory of childhood," she said. "I love the bright colors of candy – and who doesn’t remember leaving a lollipop somewhere, only to find the sun had melted it onto something you love."
