Item Description
Mimi the elephant and conservation ambassador for the Denver Zoo is one of the longest-living residents of the Denver Zoo. The Asian elephant who came to the Denver Zoo in 1961 is 49 years old. When not leaving her impressions on the art world, she enjoys munching on her favorite snack – watermelon. Her mask, "Trunk Kiss," is not only a kiss but a hand print as well. Elephants use their trunks just as we humans use our hands. The single dot on the forehead of the mask is the top of Mimi's nose.
