She came to the US in 2000 and earned a second master's degree in art therapy and counseling from Naropa University. Sibel interned at The Denver Hospice and now works there as an art therapist and grief counselor. This mask is Sibel's response art to working with bereavement clients that are in great pain because of their respective losses. It is about the beauty that Sibel sees in the faces of people who are suffering deeply. It is a witness to love, caring, longing, and affection.
