Item Description
Laura Kazzaz' paintings reflect her deep appreciation for nature. She has titled her mask, "Face in the Weeds." Her paintings begin with a cotton duck canvass and four to five coats of acrylic gesso. Going back over the canvas she builds up layers of paint and GAC to add depth to the painting. Finally, she increases the intensity of colors by glazing paint that is thinned with an extra measure of water. Largely self-taught, Ms. Kazzaz has been painting for 25 years. Throughout her career she has experimented with different disciplines and various mediums, her love of the environment leading her to find her passion for contemporary and abstract landscapes.
