Helene Strebel was born in Switzerland where she went to art school in Bern, and works in acrylic paint and textures applied in an abstract form on canvas, wood and paper. She moved to the U.S. in 1966, residing in Vermont for 20 years before moving to Colorado in 1988. She also lived in London and Stuttgart, Germany. Her works have been exhibited in galleries in Santa Fe, N.M.; Burlington, Vt.; and throughout Colorado, including Snowmass, Boulder, Denver, Vail, Idaho Springs, Glenwood Springs, Breckenridge and Greenwood Village. Her mask is titled, "Waiting." While teaching in Vermont, she was active in The Children’s Art Exchange, a non-profit cultural exchange organization between the U.S. and former Soviet Union.
