Virginia artist Karen Eide's mask done in oil, acrylic, encaustic and satin is titled "All Dressed Up with Nowhere to Go." Karen holds a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and is an award-winning artist whose richly-textured encaustic and mixed media work is shown in national exhibits and festivals. As a fulltime painter, she uses her affinity to the natural world as a recurrent thread throughout her work. The encaustic-based paintings and narratives that express the essence of her connection to nature's frailty, its humor, joy and beauty.
