Voula Anadiotis grew up in Colorado earning a BFA in Visual Art with an emphasis on printmaking. She earned her master's degree in education from the Grand Canyon University and currently is an art teacher in the Cherry Creek School District. She calls her mask "Essence of the Winds," with her use of dragonflies representing many things in many cultures. In Japanese art, dragonflies represent new light and joy. Some Native Americans believe they are souls of the dead. In her mask, the dragonfly represents the power to adapt even in adversity.
