Faces of Cherry Creek
Item Description
The Mont Blanc mask was created by Jennifer Murphy. Jennifer is the Assistant Program Director of Gateway Arts, an arts-based vocational rehabilitation program for artists with disabilities in Brookline, MA. Jennifer is the Vice President of the New England Art Therapy Association. Her mask is about hope, the strength of the human spirit, transformation, and the possibility of change. This mask also represents metamorphosis and the constant emerging, timeless beauty. The newspaper strips in the body of the butterfly are from an inspiring article about a girl with leukemia helping the troops in Iraq.
