Item Description
St. Petersburg, Russia native Darya Wohlleber has always had a passion for art, earning an art degree from St. Petersberg's School of Fine Arts. She resides in Denver. Her mask, "Mono No Aware," depicts cherry blossoms which in Japanese culture represent the fast-passing nature of life through their mesmerizing fragile beauty and short blooming time. Such symbolism illustrates the Buddhist principle of "Mono No Aware," which stand for an awareness for the transcendence of things in life - even the precious and pure.
