Item Description

Roselyn Saunders, one of the 2008 Gala Chairs for The Mask Project, has given countless hours as a community volunteer for a variety of non-profits from the performing arts and children's causes to health-related issues. Roselyn has spent most of her life in Denver. If you have spent any time around her, you know that her passion and energy are contagious! A former finance major, Roselyn enjoys spending time golfing, and doing pastel painting and creative design. Her mask is titled "Three Smiles".

Taia Johnson
Taia, a 15-year old freshman at Grandview High School, is passionate about cheerleading while also maintaining all Honors classes! She cheers for Rocky Mountain Elite and the Grandview High School Varsity Squad. Taia is very creative and loves expressing it by decorating her clothes, room, books, and now her mask with rhinestones to make them shiny. Recently, her wonderful grandfather, "Bopa", passed away while in hospice care. Decorating this mask gave Taia the opportunity to benefit The Denver Hospice on behalf of her beloved Bopa. Taia is the granddaughter of The Mask Project Gala co-chair Roselyn Saunders.

Skye Johnson
Skye (Skylar) Johnson is a 7th-grader at Falcon Creek Middle School and a cheerleader for Rocky Mountain Elite. She has one older sister and a best friend that mean the world to her. She used three main colors on her mask: Pink=believe, Purple=dream and White=hope. Skye's grandpa, who just died in care of The Denver Hospice, always told her that she shined, so she made the eyes and lips out of jewels so that her mask shines, too! Skye is the granddaughter of The Mask Project Gala co-chair Roselyn Saunders.
