Item Description
Susie Wargin, morning sports anchor for 9News, created her mask in honor of her mother, a four-year breast cancer survivor, who inspired Susie to train for the Tri for the Cure benefitting the Komen for the Cure. ?Never be afraid to Tri? has double meaning: ?If I hadn?t tried a Triathlon, I never would have fall in love with it and if my mom hadn?t tried her hardest to beat breast cancer, who knows what would have happened. There was no pain I could feel that could compare to what my mom went through.? The purple swim represents her son?s birthstone amethyst; the blue runner, her daughter?s birthstone, sapphire. The bike, her favorite portion of Tri is pink because she loves pink!
