Betty Mae Burlin Patterson Murchison
STUDY: Having begun painting in the early 1950’s in Cecil County, MD, Betty studied with Charles Vincent at the Schoonover Studios in Wilmington, DE, known to have visits from N.C. Wyeth in the early years. She began with oils and progressed to pastels in the 1970’s and to water colors in the 1990’s. She paints still life in all media, landscapes and portraiture.
TEACHING: Betty taught for ten years at the Academy for Life-Long Learning at the Wilcastle Center, University of Delaware.
EXHIBITS: With shows at Wilcastle Center and the Delaware Art Museum, Wilmington, Delaware, Betty has sold both landscape and still-life paintings as well as various commissioned portraits.
At 82, Betty resides at Maris Grove Retirement Community in Glen Mills, PA where she continues painting and teachingAlternatives, Inc stores data...
