Item Description
At age 16, Carroll acquired his first Harley-Davidson 80-cubic-inch 'Knucklehead' and a year later began racing on dirt tracks. He won his first AMA Grand National in 1957 and followed up with four more consecutive Championships, 1958-61. While well on his way to posting a fifth Grand National in 1962, a near-fatal accident abruptly ended his racing career. After recuperating for two years, he retired from the sport and resumed a career with Harley-Davidson. Carroll signed his portrait at home in Port Arthur, Texas.
This is for a 20"x28" print of that portrait. The print is slightly damaged, with crinkled corners.
