ABOUT WENDELL MINOR
Wendell Minor is the award-winning illustrator of over forty picture books for children, among them, many classics by Newbery award-winning author Jean Craighead George. His most recent collaboration with Ms. George is The Wolves are Back.
His works also include the illustrations for Katharine Lee Bates’ America the Beautiful, and two New York Times Bestsellers: Buzz Aldrin’s Reaching For the Moon, and Ghost Ship, Mary Higgins Clark's first picture book for children. Upcoming books include If You Were a Penguin, written by his wife Florence, and Look to the Stars, his second collaboration with astronaut and moon-walker Buzz Aldrin.
His butterfly painting is a depiction of Rachel Carson from his book Rachel: The Story of Rachel Carson.
