Meet for lunch, one-on-one, with the Editor & Publisher of the Daily Republic, Bill James. Find out what its like to run a community newspaper, the politics and history of community journalism. Bill James joined the Daily Republic in 1996. With more than 30 years in the newspaper industry, he has worked as a reporter, sports editor, managing editor, general manager and publisher of California community newspapers since 1967.
Bill says, "Still not sure who would pay $?? to have lunch with a balding former folksinger who drives a classic 1968 Karman Ghia." Humility becomes a power player like a newspaper publisher. You know you want to have lunch with this man.
Lunch will be at Ahi Seafood and Grill at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, hosted by General Manager Kevin Johnson and prepared under the supervision of local celebrity Chef James Aptakin, at a mutually convenient time to be arranged. Auction winner needs to call at least a week in advance to make the appointment.
Lunch at the Hilton Garden Hotel was arranged by Solano Communy College Foundation Director, Kevin Johnson.
Item Special Note
The Winner must contact Mr. James withing a month of the auction closing. If this lunch item is not used it will expire on October 1st, 2009.
