Item Description
Before the Indianapolis Speedway became famous for its unusual brick composition, they ran many different types of racing events there from gas air balloon races to motorcycle races.
In this work of art, the archival oil painter David Uhl has re-created an epic painting commissioned by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum for the Inaugural running of the 2008 MotoGP. The piece exhibits Cannonball Baker astride his Indian anticipating the start (the actual restored racer is exhibited at the IMS Museum currently). Since David was aware of the Speedway's relationship with Mr. Nicky Haden, and Nicky actually has ridden this bike, he decided to give Cannonball Baker a likeness of Mr. Haden.
This is a stretched giclée canvas print, that is also framed in a distressed antique moulding, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. This print is an artist proof & is # 9 of 10. This particular print is VERY special, in that it is signed by Nicky Haden, and David Uhl.
Framed Dimensions: 45.5" x 33.5"
