Item Description
Master Japanese potter Masakazu Kusakabe made a series of bowls during his recent visit to Solano College, and asked us to sell them as a special benefit for the ceramics department. Kusakabe is an honorary faculty member here, and first visited our campus over 10 years ago when he came to help design build our "Dancing Fire" wood kiln.
Item Special Note
This bowl is about 5" in diameter and is glazed in a traditional asian glaze called celadon. It features Kusakabe's unique brush painting of "pottery girl", painted in cobalt.
