Power lunch with Daily Republic President and CEO, Foy McNaughton. This is a rare opportunity to meet with a the scion of the McNaughton heritage of newsmen. You might want to talk to Mr. McNaughton about the future of the newspaper business and the direction of its online news service.
Foy S. McNaughton is president and chief executive officer of McNaughton Newspapers, which includes the Daily Republic, Davis Enterprise, Mountain Democrat in Placerville and Winters Express. He represents the third generation of McNaughtons owning and operating newspapers dating back to the 1920s. He is married to Barbara McNaughton and has three children -- a son, Burt, who works in the business department at the Daily Republic; and two daughters, Jennifer, a student at the University of California, Davis, and Ashley, who graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a history degree.
Lunch will be at Ahi Seafood and Grill at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, hosted by General Manager Kevin Johnson and prepared under the supervision of local celebrity Chef James Aptakin, at a mutually convenient time to be arranged. Auction winner needs to call at least a week in advance to make the appointment.
Lunch at Ahi Seafod and Grill was arranged by Solano Communy College Foundation Director, Kevin Johnson.

The Winner needs to contact Mr. McNaughton within a month of the auction closing. If this lunch item is not used it will expire on October 1st, 2009.
