Item Description
At the foot of the Ruby Mountains, also known as Nevada's "Little Yosemite," is a very private place - a retreat - isolated from the outside world, either for work or play. Reds Ranch is comprised of 100 acres of meadowland, located 4 miles from Lamoille Canyon, the entrance to the Ruby Mountains. Lamoille Canyon is a u-shaped canyon with towering peaks and year-round snowfields above it. The Ruby Mountains Range is 60 miles long and 10 to 12 miles wide, located approximately 20 miles east of Elko, Nevada, and featuring ten peaks above 11,000 feet and more than two dozen alpine lakes.
The house, patterned after the great hunting lodges of the Rockies, has nine bedrooms, a billard room, a pool and a separate jacuzzi. There is also a one-bedroom, one-bath poolhouse.
Reds Ranch is the perfect place for a company retreat, a multi-family vacation, a jumping off point for heli-skiing (by advance arrangement with local heli-ski operators), hunting, hiking, and fishing. If you have your own horses, the ranch is a great place for riding and can board your horses during your stay. Nearby attractions include gold mines, gaming, two 18-hole golf courses, ghost towns, the Western Folklife Center and Museum (home to the Cowboy Poetry Gathering), the Pine Lodge in Lamoille and Basque restaurants in Elko. Bring your family, bring your friends or bring your business associates. Any and all will find a week at Reds Ranch one of the most memorable.
Includes five days and four nights, breakfast and lunch every day, dinner on the first night, and poker lessons at the Red Lion Hotel and Casino in Elko. Other dinners can be arranged at the lodge at Reds Ranch, in Lamoille at the Pine Lodge, or in Elko at various restaurants.
