A Rare Appearance!

“Bryson is surprisingly precise, brilliantly eccentric and nicely eloquent . . . a gifted storyteller has dared to retell the world’s biggest story.” The Seattle Times

U.S. born journalist and author Bill Bryson is best known for his series of books observing life in North America, Britain, Europe and Australia. He has written about the English language and about poverty in Africa, and won the 2004 Royal Society Aventis Prize for science writing with his encyclopedic work A Short History of Nearly Everything. His recently released books include The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid: A Memoir and Shakespeare: The World as a Stage, in which Bryson sketches an original and incisive portrait of the life of the world’s greatest playwright.
