Louise J. Gissendaner is the Akron City President and Director of Community Development for Fifth Third Bank (Northeastern Ohio). Gissendaner also serves as a member of the Fifth Third Bank Northeastern Ohio (NEO) Management Team. While serving as the Akron President, she also works throughout NEO with economic and community development organizations to assist with the development of affordable housing, community revitalization and other programs that assist minority business enterprises.


Gissendaner joined Fifth Third Bank in October 1995 and has over 25 years experience in banking. In addition to her professional accomplishments, she most recently served as the Board Chair for the Akron Urban League and is the Founder and President of Sankofa Fine Art Plus. Some of Gissendaner's other Board affiliations include: Blossom Board of Overseers, Center for Families and Children, Greater Cleveland Delta Foundation Life Development Center, Marcus Garvey Academy, the Urquhart Memorial Foundation and Women of Color Foundation.


In 2007, she was appointed to a 3-year term for The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Bank's Consumer Advisory Council (CAC). She also serves on the five-member city of Akron Planning Commission, a member of the city of Cleveland's Bureau of Cultural Arts Advisory Board, Cleveland Action to Support Housing (C.A.S.H.), Summit County Housing Advisory Board and the Akron Symphony Orchestra Board. Gissendaner also spends countless hours providing mentoring to young professionals and serving on an array of committees throughout the community.


Gissendaner has received numerous awards and accolades for her professional and community service including the National Black MBA Association Business Impact Award, Black Pages Corporate Leadership Award, Crain's Cleveland Business "Woman of Note," Inside Business Magazine finalist for the ATHENA Award, Northern Ohio Live Magazine Rainmaker Award, YWCA Women of Achievement Award, just to name a few.


Gissendaner is currently a member of the national chapter of the Urban Financial Services Coalition, the National Black MBA Association, Inc. Cleveland/Northeast Ohio Chapter and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. In addition, she is a member of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2006 and is affiliated with Leadership Stark County through their Alumni Advantage Program
Gissendaner received her undergraduate degree in communications from Kent State University and resides in Akron, Ohio.

The executives will meet with the winning bidders at a time convenient to both parties, on or before December 1, 2009, except in the case of some celebrities which may carry over to the first quarter of 2010.

Once the winning bid has been validated and collected, CAAO will request the winning bidder's bio/resume and reason for wanting to meet the executive and communicate that information to the executive. CAAO will also pass on the necessary contact information for the winning bidder to make their appointment.  

If the winning bidder cancels or wishes to change the date/time of the meeting once it has been scheduled, the winning bidder will be responsible for contacting the executive to communicate any changes.

The winning bidder is responsible for all travel expenses to attend this meeting.
