Item Description
Up to four people are invited for lunch with the legendary journalist Bob Woodward at his home in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC.
Mr. Woodward has worked at the Washington Post since 1971. His reporting with Carl Bernstein on the Watergate scandal that ended the Nixon presidency earned the Washington Post a Pulitzer Prize in 1973. He guarded the identity of his secret source “Deep Throat” for 33 years. Mr. Woodward was also the main reporter for the Washington Post’s articles on the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks that won the National Affairs Pulitzer Prize in 2002. Mr. Woodward has chronicled the inner-workings of the CIA, the Supreme Court and the Federal Reserve Board, and authored intensely intimate portraits of decision-making at the highest levels within the Clinton and Bush presidencies. If anyone knows how Washington works, it’s Bob Woodward.
Mr. Woodward has co-authored or authored eleven #1 national best-selling non-fiction books, more than any contemporary American author. Bob Scheiffer, of CBS News, said Woodward “may be the best reporter of all time.”
*Airfare and hotel not included.
