Item Description
The LAVENDER EARTH QUILT is the third in a series that involves various landscapes of the Oklahoma Plain and the vistas of New Mexico. This particular work represents the view of western Oklahoma terrain and is a mixed media piece comprised of acrylic, watercolor, handmade paper, torn watercolor paper, tissue paper, mat-board, and text. The color palette represents the colors seen in the morning reflected on the low-lying hills on the western edge of the Great Plains. The square motif permeates all of my work and here creates a hint and impression of handmade quilts of the 1800’s.
