Item Description
While The Scarlet Affair is all about the red, this highly collectible pen is all about the cool blue.
Here's the scoop: Noted Rhode Island pen manufacturer A.T. Cross was asked to create 40 pens for President Barack Obama's use on inauguration day: 20 were blue, 20 were black. In a show of generosity and a dedication to bipartisanship (that was doomed to last about 20 minutes), Obama selected one of the black pens--lest people invest a certain symbolism in a choice of blue (versus red) ink.
In this package is one of the only 20 blue pens made by A.T. Cross for this auspicious and historical occasion. Its elegant design incorporates the 44th president's signature.
Item Special Note
Cross pen Townsend design, Selectip Rolling Ball Pen, cap and barrel Quartz Blue lacquer. Cap includes a die-struck inaugural seal on the clip and is engraved with Barack Obama's signature.
