Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, married to wife Lynne he has two sons Lee Gill Jr. and Andre Gill.

Mr. Gill received his B.A. degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and his Juris Doctor degree in law from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Kent College of Law, Chicago, Ill.

Mr. Gill brings more than 25 years of private and public sector experience working with major corporate executives, law firm executive committees, hospital administrators, and college presidents. His passionate belief is that no organization can afford not to harness the rainbow of demographic change for a competitive advantage. As he views it, The Business Case for Diversity is akin to the educational process, "learn it well and be rewarded. Fail to learn it and be left behind."

Since 2005 to 2008, Mr. Gill has been Chief Executive Officer of the Stratus Group Consultants, a Michigan firm that specializes in organizational assessments, diversity audits and strategic planning.

Prior to 2005 for ten years Mr. Gill was Dean of Lake Michigan College Institute for Diversity and Leadership and the Affirmative Action Officer located in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He managed a cadre of instructors and consultants that provided diversity audits, organizational assessments, diversity training, team building, strategic planning, policy development and change management to businesses for pragmatic organizational and strategic advantage.

In 2003 Lake Michigan College was recognized nationally with the Central Region, Association of Community College Trustees, Charles Kennedy Equity Award for its outstanding diversity initiatives raking it as one of the top five community colleges in the nation for diversity.

 Mr. Gill serves on numerous Boards including, the National Association of Affirmative Action Officers,  Board of Directors, WNIT, Michigan Public Television; Executive Board, Council for World-Class Communities; Board of Directors and Treasurer, Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency; Executive Board, National Conference of Artists, and the Board of Directors, Calling All Colors and was recently named to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Project Board to review the artistic vision and track the construction of the Memorial

He is the recipient of many awards in his professional and civic life--Outstanding Administrator of the Year Lake Michigan College 2000/2001, National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development 2002 Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution To Teaching and Learning, University of Michigan, Gerald R. Ford, 2004 School of Public Policy Scholars Award, Race Relations Council of Southwestern Michigan 2005 Award for Outstanding Service In Improving Race Relations,  the 2006 Champion of Diversity with Inclusion Award given by the Council for World Class Communities of Michigan and the 2008 Martin Luther King Jr. Justice Award, IIT Kent College of Law.

The executives will meet with the winning bidders at a time convenient to both parties, on or before December 1, 2009, except in the case of some celebrities which may carry over to the first quarter of 2010.

Once the winning bid has been validated and collected, CAAO will request the winning bidder's bio/resume and reason for wanting to meet the executive and communicate that information to the executive. CAAO will also pass on the necessary contact information for the winning bidder to make their appointment.

If the winning bidder cancels or wishes to change the date/time of the meeting once it has been scheduled, the winning bidder will be responsible for contacting the executive to communicate any changes.

The winning bidder is responsible for all travel expenses to attend this meeting.
