Appointed president of Child Guidance & Family Solutions in 2006, Elaine Harlin has over 28 years of behavioral healthcare experience, cultivating her into an ideal leader and innovator. She has proven herself time and time again as an altruistic, caring professional as well as an inventive and expert problem solver.

Ascending through ranks and eventually relocating to what is now Child Guidance & Family Solutions, Elaine began her calling to aid in not only behavioral healthcare but also in business.

Recognizing the need for change and collaboration is an intuitive attribute that she uses for the greater good.  In  2003 she successfully ushered the merger of Family Solutions and Child Guidance Centers.   Child Guidance & Family Solutions has been honored with the highly coveted Northcoast 99 Award for three years, given to organizations, which exemplify the 99 best places to work in Northeast Ohio due to innovative approaches to benefits, communication, diversity, training and development, and employee satisfaction and most recently was awarded the Dorothy O. Jackson Award by the Women's Network for outstanding service to women and children in the community.

Child Guidance & Family Solutions provides behavioral healthcare treatment to over 4,000 children and 1,000 adults every year, employs 150 professionals and support staff, and earns $10 million in revenue. The agency is Summit County's leading provider of behavioral and mental healthcare to children and families.

Elaine is on the board of the Ohio Council for Behavioral Healthcare Providers in Columbus, and was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of Our Lady of the Elms in Akron.

Elaine is married to Ken Harlin, and proud mother of their son Neil.
