Thomas A. Selden, FACHE, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Southwest General Health Center. He began his tenure in October, 2007. He has a wealth of local health care experience, most recently having served as President and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic Health System's East Region which encompasses Euclid, Hillcrest, Huron, and South Pointe Hospitals. Prior to that he served for 12 years as President and CEO of Parma Community General Hospital. He has also held positions at St. Alexis Hospital in Cleveland, Akron City Hospital and The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Akron. His background combines expertise in business and technology as well as health care administration. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, a Masters of Business Administration degree and is a graduate of the Wharton CEO Program for Health Care Leadership at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his civilian career, he also had 23 years of military service, primarily in the United States Army Reserve, initially as an infantry officer and later as a medical service corp officer. He holds the retired rank of lieutenant colonel.

The executives will meet with the winning bidders at a time convenient to both parties, on or before December 1, 2009, except in the case of some celebrities which may carry over to the first quarter of 2010.
Once the winning bid has been validated and collected, CAAO will request the winning bidder's bio/resume and reason for wanting to meet the executive and communicate that information to the executive. CAAO will also pass on the necessary contact information for the winning bidder to make their appointment.
If the winning bidder cancels or wishes to change the date/time of the meeting once it has been scheduled, the winning bidder will be responsible for contacting the executive to communicate any changes.
The winning bidder is responsible for all travel expenses to attend this meeting.
