Item Description

Brand: Everything Must Go

No Wheels, just deck

The Rec Room, a new shop in Westchester County, New York, brings downtown cool to the historic river towns with a vibrant assortment of clothing and accessories for guys and gals. The lifestyle concept boutique offers brands with cult followings like Stussy, No Mas, Crooks and Castles, Penfield, Claw Money, 10 Deep, Coup de Grace and Shades of Greige along with of-the-moment accessories like scarves, belts, caps and sneakers. The shop also carries collectible vinyl toys from brands like Kid Robot, Tokidoki and the Miami-based art collective Friends With You plus vintage reggae CDs from London imprint Soul Jazz.

On a prime retail corner of Cedar Street in Dobbs Ferry, the shop has soaring ceilings and a clean modern interior. White washed walls and light maple floors make a clean backdrop for a pop-bright recreation theme - merchandise is displayed on custom, fire-engine red rolling racks and on a massive, professional ping pong table. Vintage table tennis sets, antique trophies and retro-cool army stools decorate the space. From the display case full of candy-colored sunglasses to a giant basket of playground balls, The Rec Room is all about fun.

People wanting a dose of progressive cool in the form of small streetwear labels and trend-right accouterments don't have to shop exclusively in SoHo anymore. Owner Bahr Brown says, "The Rec Room is a showcase for stuff I love - from music to clothes, toys and accessories. I wanted to bring new product and a great boutique experience to Westchester. In this day and age of fast information, kids everywhere know what's hot. Why wouldn't they want it in their own backyard?"
