Item Description
Miller, Henry. THE COSMOLOGICAL EYE. Norfolk: New Directions (1939). First edition, first issue, with eye on front cover of book.
This collection contains a number of Henry Milller's most important shorter prose writings. they are taken form the Paris books Black Spring (1936) and Max and the White Phagocytes (1938) and were for the most part, written at about the same time as Tropic of Capricorn--the period of Miller's and Durrell's life in the famous Villa Seurat in Paris. These critical and philosophical essays, prose poems, surrealist fantasies, travel sketches, and scenarios, show Miller's passion for fiction, and for telling the endless stories of his life. Pastedowns a little darkened, otherwise fine in dustwrapper with very minor edgewear and a few small closed tears. Nice copy.
Item Special Note
Dr. Z is also a book collector and Miller is one of his favorite authors.
