Item Description
William Prescott was one of the least-liked British Generals of the Revolutionary-War era, yet his farm remains in Middletown! In this original, plein-air oil, John MacGowan depicts the period buildings on the northeast side of the farm's duck pond. The painting's dark appearance helps convey the look of the period.
Artist John MacGowan paints in the American School of Impressionism style and his landscapes express a sense of energy. His work is a favorite of collectors in New England and beyond!
Item Special Note
This framed oil painting measures 15 1/2"H x 18 1/2"W
