Item Description
The interplay of light from a bright summer day is reflected in the shimmering waters of a low tide along the shore at Coast Guard Beach on Cape Cod. This same atmosphere also casts reflections of a woman and child as they stroll the beach looking, perhaps, for shells or other items to remind them of their special day at the shore.
Essentially a self-taught artist, Walter Scott was a commercial fisherman for years. His love for the beauty of the coast - and his native talent - drove him towards a career as an artist. Walter is owner and artist-in-residence at the Mariner Fine Art Gallery, 398 Thames Street, Newport, RI and a member of the Wickford Art Association, Newport Artist Guild and the American Society of Marine Artists.
Framed: 28 ½" H x 40 ½"W
