Item Description
Two authentic US Navy recognition models made by Comet Metal Products in the early 1940's in 1/1200 scale: Japanese heavy cruiser Nachi and the heavy cruiser Tone....both 6 1/2 inches long. The wooden bases have been removed, the screw holes filed and they have been repainted; otherwise they are in good condition (guns slightly bent).
Both ships were involved in major naval engagements until being sunk; the Tone on 7/24/45 in a Japanese harbor by air attacks and the Nachi on 11/5/44 in Manila Bay.
