Item Description
The visual exploration of the Lake Champlain watershed gathers 120 color photos of Lake Champlain and the surrounding region, presenting both the Vermont and New York sides of the lake as well as images from Quebec and the Richelieu River. Venturing to all corners of the basin, over 35 photographers from Vermont, New York and Québec captured the lake and its watershed from panoramic vistas and sea level. The book showcases the lake's setting, its various river and lake sources, many activities both on and off the lake, and a number of towns, familiar bridges and buildings.
Photographers represented include John David Geery, Paul Boisvert, Carl Heilman II, Gary Randorf, Robert Lyons, Daria Bishop, David Seaver, Marshall Webb, Steve Mease, Matt Larson, Dennis Curran, Brian Mohr, and Jared Gange.
Of Special Note Published in conjunction with the Lake Champlain Quadricentennial by Huntington Graphics of Burlington, VT. Publisher and editor Jared Gange also wrote the preface. The hardcover coffee table book has 132 pages, which includes a 12-page narrative on the history and geography of the region.
